Things to do in New Zealand

Why do the Kiwis have all the fun? YouGoDo is jam packed with great and exciting activities. With a great mix of family activities right up to space flights, but I cannot help but notice that New Zealand seems to have more than its fair share of the fun, especially the extreme stuff!

When a crazy new activity like Shweebing or a new jet boat activity comes along and appears on YouGoDo, the first question on the lips of our data staff is usually “that looks whacky - where on earth is it?”, and the answer is more often than not NZ?

Maybe it’s the amount of space and stunning scenery with cliffs, glaciers and canyons, combined with a more relaxed view of health and safety which are the key ingredients. I guess the locals must also have quite an appetite for throwing themselves off cliffs and jet boating through canyons as well, to support the supply of all of these great activities.

If extreme is a favourite word of yours and the word ‘dude’ crops up in your conversation more than once a day, then New Zealand seems to be the place for you.

Just take a look at some of the great activities in some of the popular locations and you get the idea!

Things to do in Auckland

Helicopters seem to get put to more uses here than anywhere else – There’s loads of New Zealand Helicopter Activities - heli skiijng, heli biking, heli rafting, heli fishing, heli whale watching, heli hiking......

Want to Bungy in New Zealand – you are spoilt for choice!

And there are activities you may not have heard off like snowscooting, dam dropping and fly by wire.

Even the superb Sky City revolving restaurant in Auckland has to have an extreme element – you can try fine dining there, but it appear that most Kiwis would prefer to either take an outside walk around the top or throw themselves off the skytower!

What a place - for a full list see YouGoDo's comprehensive list of things to do in New Zealand
