What to do in the school holidays?
Having moved from England to Spain a few years back I can tell you this question is bigger here - 12 weeks school holidays (can any other countries beat that? - I bet they can!)
Entertaining kids in the long school holidays can be daunting and http://www.yougodo.com/ is a great place to find some inspiration. As well as finding the great 'things to do' on your annual holiday (which may be in your home country this year due to the crisis - the 'staycation' as it is being termed!) YouGoDo is a great place to find some local fun. Kids love to visit somewhere new or try something different - tree top adventures, gliding, parks, etc.
With over 40,000 'things to do' ideas around the world there's a good chance YouGoDo has a few interesting activities right on your doorstep.
Even here in the Costa Del Sol, many of the locals (there are a good few grumpy expats here in the sun - never quite understood this) constantly moan `theres nothing to do for kids' - well a quick search for things to do in Marbella, and within an hour’s drive, uncovers over 300 options.
The recently introduced YouGoDo map views - try the full screen http://www.thingstodomap.com/ will automatically show you things to do near you.
And bearing in mind the current crisis, a day out doing something new need not be a costly day out - many activities are FREE or low cost.
So give it a go at http://www.yougodo.com/ - and be sure to read the location and activity reviews, and then come back and leave your comments for the benefits of others!
