My old country the UK, and Spain seem to have more than their fair share.
How about getting yourself into the Worlds Biggest Tomato Fight - come on down to Buñol near Valencia for the Tomatina - amazing fun.
If you pefer to eat the subjects of the event, then why not visit the annual snail festival in Lleida - here the 200,000 plus guests get through over 12 tonnes of Snails during the festival.
Or if you prefer to drink the subject of the event why not get yourself accross to Germany for the Octoberfest beer festival in Munich.
How about mixing your drinking with cycling - sounds fun combination! Try the annual La Médocaine (VTV - translated as Cycle through the vines) cycle vinyard crawl held annually in the Bordeaux region of France.
Fancy a game of football - well why not join in the Worlds Biggest Football game in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.
If your type of fun involves risk and a good chance of getting hurt then we have a few good options.
The Rolling of the Cheese in Gloucestershire, where you chase a huge round cheese down an incredibly steep hill.
Or in a similar dangerous vein how about the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, northern Spain where participants are chased through the streets by a herd of fighting bulls!
A similar yet less dangerous event is the Running of the Santa's in the USA!
Or throw in some fireworks - Try Las Fallas - The World Famous Party in Valencia involving huge sculptures and fire!
Or how about the redneck games in the USA or the Highland Games in Scotland.
So little time to visit so many great events!
I wanna go there Paul
