Having ‘a very YouGoDo week’ here in Spain!

Practise what you preach they say – well I have had a go. The warmer weather is here, and coupled with a bank holiday this has given me opportunity to get out and play.

The week started with Tennis up at the local , then out mountain biking up the river bed later in the day – only a few more weeks and it will be a bed – as the river part will dry up soon! Thats my daughter Emma heading across the river.

Then on Thursday it was a Bank Holiday here in Spain, and a ‘bridge’ day (the Spanish way of saying it's not worth going back to work, school, etc) on Friday.

A great opportunity to head out and do some more yougodo research!

So we headed up to Conil, a very Spanish beach side town on the Atlantic Coast (popular with surfers). A night and day (with some time on the great beaches - you can only do so much research on a bank holiday in Spain!).

Then inland to Seville (or Sevilla – Ser-veeeya as it is spelt and pronounced here). You can already feel the inland heat factor in early May - in the low 30’s. And off for a full days family research at Isla Magica – one of the big theme parks here in Spain. Got there for the park opening, at the crack of 11:00 am.

Then completed my activity week with a little more cycling, some swimming, and a superb late afternoon blast up into the hills, on my KTM Enduro bike. I took a superb trail, which goes over 30km through the mountains, forests and river beds from behind Fuengirola to Marbella. The scenery and wildlife is stunning, and on my 60km ride I only came across three guys on mountains bikes. It is a pity so few tourists see this part of Spain. The Mountain Biking in Spain and Spanish Enduro riding is superb.

I keep trying to tell the Worlds tourists Spain is not just beaches, bars and sangria!

On the site we smashed our daily records again – Bank Holiday’s around the world making our visitor stats soar up over 800,000. Our first on-line competition is due on the site soon, and yet more activities have been added to the site. More girlie things are now being added – we have been told the site was getting male heavy!

This weeks feature activities –

Gravity Bolivia - Mountain Biking down the World's most dangerous road!

Diving with Sharks - lots of them! in South Africa

Air Combat flights in California

Cheers
